A Soft Start to 2026: Color, Craft & Designing SS26

This year started a little slower, and I’m grateful for that pause before the year got going. I spent New Year’s up in Vancouver and was struck by how much color and creativity live across the Pacific Northwest (the Seattle–Vancouver–Portland corridor) — murals, stickers, graffiti, tiny pops of expression everywhere, just waiting for you to slow down and notice.

Spring/Summer 2026 in Design Mode

January through March is typically our deep design and development period at Wild & Pree — and that’s very much the case this year. Spring/Summer 2026 work is underway: new silhouettes, print development, more hand stamped designs, fabric experiments, and bringing back winter favorites in lighter fabric.

Design season is immersive. Breathing room gets scarce, and I don’t always show up on social as much as I’d prefer. This year, I’m trying to stay a bit more present outside the design bubble — sharing fits when I can, mostly through Stories, while so much of the real work unfolds quietly behind the scenes, patiently waiting for its turn in the sun.

Sweatshirt Restock Update

Most of our best-selling sweatshirt prints — including Jungle Call are officially back in stock. These tend to move quickly when they return, so if you’ve been waiting, this is a great moment to shop them.

Craft as a Grounding Mechanism

One helpful shift this year has been using craft as a grounding tool, especially when the digital world feels noisy (unpredictable traffic, algorithm changes, more tariffs — all the joys of running a small online brand). Watercolor has been my medium of choice — something I’ve been curious about for years — and I’ve been giving myself about 30 minutes a day to paint. Lately it’s mostly fruits, and the best part is that none of it is for work (at least not yet). It isn’t tied to productivity, prints, or output. Craft can feel endless in the best way — joy for joy’s sake — which feels rare and necessary.

I hope 2026 so far, has given you a bit of ease — whether that looked like slow mornings, noticing color around you, or finding small creative rituals that make you feel more like yourself. Here’s to a year that doesn’t demand a sprint from the start, and to whatever rhythms make 2026 feel like your own.
