A Note from Behind the Scenes
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how this brand fits into real life — in between busy days, long weeks, decision fatigue, and those moments when you just want to put something on and feel like yourself again.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, I keep thinking, “I should talk about this in the newsletter.” Not because it’s polished or perfectly thought through — but because it feels worth sharing as it’s happening.
So here I am, happily writing Newsletter #2.
Here’s what’s been on my mind.
A small reflection
This week, my boo was looking for a Kraken (Seattle’s hockey team) shirt. I didn’t love any of the designs and half-jokingly suggested we buy a blank and iron something on ourselves.
That one thought sent me straight back.
Two years ago, our sweatshirt line started as a tiny, scrappy experiment — iron-on labels, hand-tagging everything, packing and shipping orders myself. No systems. No infrastructure. Just curiosity, a lot of trial and error, and a belief that clothes could feel more personal, fit more bodies, and bring a little more joy into everyday life — especially when they’re made slowly and with intention.
Today, we have around 40 sweatshirts, made in-house with a real production setup behind them.
We’re still growing. Still learning. Still figuring things out as we go. But every step has been guided by the same idea: clothes should make you feel good — on long days, errand-filled weekends, travel days, and those mornings when you don’t want to think too hard about what you’re wearing.
What you’ll be seeing more of
I’ve been filming more real-life content lately — nothing overly styled, just clothes moving, fitting, and being lived in.
You’ll start seeing more real fit videos, shared a little more freely and a little more often. This is for anyone who’s ever wondered, Will this actually work on me? Will I reach for this again? Will this feel like my kind of piece?
We’re also easing back into influencer content. This was always part of the plan, but it got pushed out when we sold through fabric faster than expected (a good problem, but still a problem). Now that fabric is restocked, we’re starting again — thoughtfully, and on real bodies across sizes.
Corduroy is back 🌈
Our size-inclusive corduroy styles, made from natural fibers, are fully back in stock — including favorites like Block Party and Tipsy Chessboard.
These are everyday pieces — cozy, colorful, and easy to reach for when you want comfort without giving up personality. Shop your favorite piece while they are in stock :)
(And next week — fingers crossed — our back-ordered sweater knits should be back too.)
As the holidays get closer
I’ve been thinking about the holidays less as a season of doing more and more as a season of being intentionally less hurried.
Letting go of perfection. Wearing the things you love on repeat. Giving in ways that feel meaningful, not rushed, not forced. Finding joy in small moments — the kind that sneak up on you and stick with you for a long time.
Whether you’re shopping for yourself, gifting someone you love, or keeping it simple with a gift card, I’m really glad you’re here.
Wild & Pree exists because of this community — people who care about how clothes are made, how they feel on real bodies, and how they show up in everyday life.
Thank you for being part of it.
